Donnie has everything perfectly under control. Sure, sometimes he hears the voices of those who aren't there, and sometimes he's not in control of his own body- but those are easy fixes. He's fine, dare he say even better than fine! He's so fine that he even constructed a portal to other dimensions in case the Krang come back! It's not like he worked endlessly, almost obsessively, over the portal for days, missing sleep and family trying to talk to him.
He's fine!
He's even fine when the portal swallows him whole and spits him out into a new universe with nothing but his battle shell and clocking broach.
One with alternate versions of him and his brothers, just starting out and fighting their own version of Kraang and bad guys. He's even fine when he gets dragged into their upcoming battles and fights. He's going to get home anyway; what's the harm in helping out his alternate family fight against Kraang?

Luffy ran the pad of his thumb over Zoro's lips, and, when Zoro opened his mouth the slightest bit to nip at Luffy's skin, Luffy took his chance to push the finger inside.
“I know what you want.” The fire in his eyes much like the fire in Zoro's own. Like the fire in Sanji's eyes, in Usopp's eyes.
But Luffy noticed Zoro's slight hesitation. Despite what people thought of Luffy, he was observant; much more than he let on. “I want it,” he said, and everyone in the room knew he meant it.
To be fair – they each agreed afterwards, in hindsight – he wouldn't have let it get that far if he didn't want it.

Summary
Hammerhead didn’t like the Nektons. He didn’t. They were enemies of the Dark Orca, nothing more and nothing less. Sure, he respected them. But ‘respect’ didn’t mean ‘like’.
Hammerhead didn’t like some of the other pirate crews roaming around, filled with a cockiness that made them look foolish, and a twisted perception on what it meant to be pirates. Putting a smear on the culture of piracy and doing stupid things for even stupider reasons. Hammerhead didn’t like them even more than he didn’t like the Nektons.
But on what should have been an ordinary day, Hammerhead finds himself with a panicked Ant Nekton on his hands, injured by one of those amateurish pirate crews, and the Dark Orca the only other submarine currently around. Hammerhead winds up having to be momentarily responsible for Ant, making sure he doesn’t bleed out, at least until the Aronnax arrives and takes him off his hands again.

Basically Ant’s not having a good day and Hammerhead is being forced to use all fifteen of his parenting skills on him until his actual parents pick him up
