“Thanks again, Jinora.” The relief in Mako’s voice, coupled with the tired bags beneath his eyes were enough to tell her that last night must have been more than just a little rain for the detective. Jinora glanced furtively in Kai’s direction, watching him critically as he rifled through the pile of clothes near the apartment’s small breakfast nook.
