He always wanted her. It was a something that Aline tried to not paint in them because she knew Real Verso wanted Real Alicia. She managed to keep it out of Canvas Alicia, but the thought, a single careless memory of a thought, accidentally made its way into one stroke of paint for him, and it was a nagging feeling within him thereafter that just slowly, ever so slowly grew and spread through him. And Canvas Alicia, observant as she is, notices… and can’t help but be at least a little curious.
And... she misses him. He left the family, in part because of their family falling apart, but also because, as his feelings for her bloomed, he felt the need to keep his distance; to be a good and decent brother to her. To not be a bad person, as he feels guilty for emotions he can’t even begin to control. To not frighten her. He keeps his distance and makes her stay away when she tries to go to him. But she’s tired of it. She misses him. And again, she’s curious enough to, if it brings him closer again… maybe try exploring it. If it means one more warm hug from him, to his dismay, she’s rather convinced she’d do anything.
Then, when Maelle comes along, things just get even more complicated.
