A strange request and a vague piece of research send him to the USA to retrieve a possible missing link for a difficult potion. Unfortunately, he knows he is out of his element, and requests the help of a guide in finding it. Erica Crawford is hired as his guide, a not so southern belle of a witch with her own secrets and demons. Their time spent together in the wilderness although entirely too brief, healed parts of them neither expected to heal. They cross paths again and the secrets are flung into the open for all to see, much to the amusement of a still living Albus Dumbledore and the rest of the Hogwarts staff. Snape is eventually pulled into a world he thought he left behind. What could go wrong?
