Summary
The destruction of the time-turners had unexpected effects, unraveling strands of parallel time in all directions. Shortly after the Battle of Hogwarts, these strands self-corrected and reunited into a singular reality.
Harry and friends were overjoyed by the appearance of a Sirius, a Remus, and many others, each of whom was spared by a quirk of fate in their own timeline. But though Harry's heart skips a beat with every unexpected knock at the door, neither James nor Lily has been spotted.
After initial anxiety, the Ministry determined that no doubles of anyone living survived the Recombination Event. Reality had room for just one of each individual; only the dead left empty space for other possibilities to fill. To general relief (and lingering unease), some spaces in the world remain empty. The Ministry is quite sure the Recombination Event has not resulted in any alternate versions of You-Know-Who running about. Quite sure. Nearly certain. But moving unsuspected through the fallout are possibilities even more strange.

What if Harry had shown his memories to the Wizengamot during his trial about Underage magic what if he had shown them the memories about Voldemort's return in the Graveyard and Fudge's subsequent denials and he had done it during his trial for Underage magic on August 2nd and Wizengamot had given Fudge the boot.What if afterwards Harry had come in contention for Minister for magic post with a vote to be held on September 2nd and what if he had gotten desperate for votes and learnt a secret that apparently his Dad had a 3 year elder brother and his family hadn't been in contact with his Dad for quiet a few years before their deaths due to some fallout between his Dad and Grandfather after which his Grandfather had all but disowned his Dad and the rest of the Potter family had closed the Potter Mansion in England and moved to the Potter Compound in Canada to avoid being casualties in War and after hearing of his parents death his Grandpa had come back to Britain to try and get custody of him but Dumbledore had convinced him not to and his grandfather guilt ridden about the fallout had agreed thinking Harry would be better off without them and Harry desperate to get Potter votes on the Wizengamot goes to Canada.

The story focuses on the slowly growing relationship between Severus Snape and Hermione Granger, and follows them to her last year at Hogwarts. It is mixed with the adventure of horcrux hunting. While the relationship blossoms while they are still a student and teacher, Hermione is of age by the time anything happens between them (actually 19 because of the time she aged using a time turner).
