He had a little brother to look after. He couldn’t risk another encounter with that thing. The rogue—Nat—agreed after a deep breath and an imploring look from Lottie. The red-head—Van—agreed because she wanted the chance to take that beast down.
Shauna gathered herself and her new party, intent on heading back down into the dungeon as soon as possible. She had to. It was Jackie.

Summary

And Jackie kind of panics, and makes some bad decisions. Like skipping town with her wanted-for-murder best friend.
They head west, because this is America, and that's the direction you're supposed to go when the law is on your tail.
Soon, they're famous. A real life Thelma and Louise. Or a latter-day Bonnie and Clyde, if you prefer.
