Summary
After years of fighting to master his craft Salieri has finally found a short way to obtaining a genius music talent through a magic ritual of drinking a gifted mortal's blood. Now it's only a matter of successfully doing what he's been doing for centuries: killing and consuming a man. Nothing really can go wrong, and yet here Mozart is on the floor of his study a week after his death. Will Salieri have to kill him again?

Summary
Lalo crosses the threshold with easy confidence, moving into Jesse's space, into his aunt's house, like he belongs here. His hand finds Jesse's waist as he passes, and their bodies brush close enough that Jesse feels the heat radiating off him. Catches his scent again: leather and smoke and sweat. No cologne masking it this time. It’s just Lalo, warming Jesse's skin like standing too close to a fire.
"Nice place," Lalo says, scanning the cluttered living room. The mismatched furniture. The fussy floral curtains that are probably older than Jesse. He shrugs off his jacket, drapes it over the sofa like he lives here. "Homey."
"Yeah, I guess." Jesse closes the door, the lock clicking into place with a sound that feels final. Trapping them in together. Or trapping Jesse in with Lalo. He's not sure which.

Lalo's back in Albuquerque, and at Jesse's front door, with a few new scars.

Summary
Mozart has again created something beyond mere brilliance, a piece fit to make Salieri weep even in the silence of this room. But this room is a barren mess of empty wine bottles and discarded paper. It is cold enough in here to chill a man to the bone.

Summary
As he enters the great house, glowing like a new lantern from every room, it’s clear the party has hit full swing. Salieri arrives fashionably late for this exact reason always, keen to pick out a colleague or two with which to make polite conversation, a sweetmeat to sample if one is available, and then to depart for home before anyone is the wiser to his sudden absence.
