Summary

Elena’s journalistic motivations lead her down a slippery slope into Gotham’s criminal underworld, riddled with mob families, corruption, and violence. What began as an investigation into the dark side of Gotham, turns into a journey of discovering her own twisted past.

Summary
All of Bruce’s former Robins went through a period of estrangement when they let go of the mantle, it was just part of leaving the nest. Tim's had been the shortest, and in some ways so half assed it didn't even count. Dick's had been a tumultuous on again, off again affair that took place across multiple cities, but eventually levelled off. Jason's was still going in its fits and starts.
And Stephanie…Stephanie hadn't even really started the process of coming back. Even though she now wore the Bat symbol for herself, she stayed away.

Summary
Bruce doesn't expect any trouble with the latest child he takes in as an emergency foster placement. After raising one child from the League of Assassin's, one directly from David Cain's private instruction in assassination, and one who was working against Cluemaster with not many resources beyond a purple outfit and spite, he thinks that Tim Drake won't be much of a challenge.
Bruce is wrong. It takes detective work from multiple parties to realize why Tim is hesitant to trust Bruce Wayne and even more cautious about the Bats.
