    He looks over at Tanjiro again, still asleep in his futon with Nezuko cuddled close. One of Tanjiro’s hands is smoothing over the top of her head, gently carding his fingers through her inky black hair. Her lashes flutter with satisfaction at every soft pull, completely at ease.

    Inosuke squints. Hmm.

    His gaze falls back to Zenitsu.

    Tanjiro must be contagious, he decides. His stupid germs are rubbing off on Inosuke. There’s no other explanation for the way he suddenly has the urge to take Zenitsu’s head into his lap and put his fingers in his hair until he stops crying.

    (inosuke wakes up while zenitsu is having a nightmare.)
