Summary
The Narrows was once an untouched island right in the smack dab of Finger river. No one knew where nor when it rose from. Some theorised it was sacred ground from Lady Gotham herself, others saw an opportunity for another factory—But it housed no people. It stayed like that for quite a while too! Which is exactly when the people of Gotham; those who had nowhere to go, those who came from nothing, gravitated to that place. It grew into an imperfect community. It was as gritty (if not gritter) as the Upper East maybe even the Bowery but it was home. Home to a hero.

Summary
Crowley only wanted a music video to save the school event. Yuu only wanted to sleep. So, after receiving yet another impossible last-minute task, the prefect decides to do the most reasonable thing: emotionally get revenge on everyone by recreating one of the most tragic videos from their world.

“I can make another meal for you to try, after.” He says, and Ruggie tilts his head at him.
“Are you just testing your foraged ingredients on me?”
“Perhaps.” Jade smiles politely at him. “Let me know if you don’t want to eat them, and we can stop at any time.”
His classmate’s eyes narrow into a glare. “There’s no way I’m givin’ up free food. I’ll eat any of the things you find, long as you’re not tryin’ to kill me with them.”
“Oh dear.” He says in a false sad tone, an innocent look on his face. “The very thought that I could do something like that deeply offends me.”

(or: Azul bans Jade from testing any of his dishes at Mostro Lounge, a ban which is made easier to handle upon the realization that Ruggie would be willing to eat anything Jade makes—although their simple deal quickly spirals into something else.)

Summary
So, it didn’t start out like this.
Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-
So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.
It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:
“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”
