Summary
A years-long war has ended, and a triumphant Duke Caelan returns to his post in the north and to his husband and young son. Eònan has dreaded his return for two years and what his homecoming might mean for the future of their family. His suspicions are quickly confirmed once news from the south and Caelan's designs are revealed and Eònan knows he and his son must escape before plans come to pass or it will destroy them.
A chance at freedom takes the form of the mysterious and courteous master swordsmen who returned at his husband's side to tutor their son. The man is charming, clever, and a touch self-important, yet disarmingly sincere and gentle and Eònan cannot understand why he is so familiar. Nor, why he is so drawn to him.
In the vaguest possible way, a fantasy-historical (medieval-ish) story inspired by elements of the princess bride, but far darker and nowhere as whimsical. This is A/B/O dynamics.
