AU – girl Heliona starts her studies in the Academy, only to find out that her whole class is enrolled in the newly established Mentor program. Everyone, her included, gets a mentor, who is supposed to support and guide their mentee through the academic year.
The student with the best performance wins at the end of the year, and both – a student and a mentor get equal monetary prizes, so essential for everyone in the after-war years. So, the competition is going to be rough.
On her first day, Heliona gets to know that her mentor is going to be a very ambitious student – a couple of years older than her – Coriolanus Snow.
