His name passed her sweet lips in nothing but a breathless whisper, the way his grip on her waist suddenly tightened making her pulse spike and the mere sound of her voice was enough to make the very last restraint of his snap.
“Stop.”
Golden orbs widened at the curt demand, the order reverberating in his chest from where it was tightly pressed against hers as her eyes sparked with confusion but when he tilted his head down and his nose brushed against hers, her chest tightened as the beat of her heart quickened.
“Stop?”
The adeptus tilted her chin up, amber eyes sharpening as his gaze flickered to her luscious lips that were hovering a mere breath away from his as the spark in his chest burned brighter and ignited a fire he knew he could no longer fight.
“My name is the only one that shall pass your lips.” He declared, the low timbre of his voice sending a shiver dance over her skin and when he tipped his head down and his lips ghosted over hers, she saw his eyes flash. “And I will be the only one to answer your call.”
