Summary
As Mark’s head comes to rest on Ten’s shoulder, this foreign feeling of jamais vu intensifies. Sitting on opposite sides of the same small room, it feels like they’re a thousand miles apart. He feels nauseous as he rests his head against Mark’s, pressing his cheek tight to the top of it.
Mark squeezes his knee, alarmed. “You ok, hyung?”, his voice comes small, as if he was dozing off.
“Sure”, Ten is quick to reply, searching for Mark’s cheek blindly to pinch it. Mark whines and complains, his voice increasing in volume rapidly. Ten laughs, and for a moment he feels at ease again, just the familiar I’m about to perform onstage butterflies flying around, but Mark’s sudden noise attracts Johnny’s eyes onto them, and he smiles, soft and loving, as he pulls Donghyuck even closer to his body.
And it hurts so bad Ten doesn’t even know what to do with all this pain that he’s roped himself into.
[or: Ten and Johnny have been together for a few years now, and Ten can’t exactly say things are going as well as he used to dream they would.]

"Hyung!"
"What?" Johnny’s feigned confusion causes Ten to glare daggers at him.
"You know what."
"You said you wanted kisses - I'm giving you kisses."
Ten rolls his eyes. "John." Johnny fights back a chuckle. Ten only uses that name when he's annoyed with him - and Johnny finds it more endearing than he’d like to admit. "You know damn well I meant on the lips."

Summary
When Ten woke up he had better ideas on how to spend his night. He could sleep, read, or binge-watch some Netflix shows. But instead, he was met with a big wooden door of an old abandoned manor.
Ten had better ideas on how to spend the November night. Going inside an abandoned building in the middle of the night because he lost a bet was certainly not one of it.

Summary
The android barely moved when they entered the room. Johnny stared at it openly. It was clear what Park and Kun had meant before—the android had an otherworldly quality to it, something that said immediately it wasn’t human. It was too beautiful, too elegant, too perfect to be human.
"This is Prototype Ten, just Ten for short."
What a beautiful, perfect lie.
