Summary
If this wasn’t love, then his entire life had been a lie, and he refused to believe that. He refused to believe it wasn’t real, that he had done what he’d done and become what he’d become for nothing. He refused to believe his feelings for Gi-hun were just an illusion, or him finally going insane. No. This was real. This had to be real.
The rebellion never happens, In-ho and Gi-hun play Hide and Seek, they get a little freaky afterwards (of course), but their story doesn't end there: in this universe, In-ho actually has the balls to do something about his feelings.

Gi-hun complied, lowering the pink hood, removing the mask with a weary exhale, and pulling off the black hood beneath that covered his hair and jaw down to his neck.
