Finrod and Fingolfin, an Age after their deaths, look back on their assorted triumphs and tragedies, compare cairn locations, mourn the kingdoms of Men they raised up in Beleriand, and conspire around a novelty cake.

Sympathy for mad, dead Fëanor was not what he expected to feel today, but he felt it nonetheless. A beloved memory from a life long before the sun now rode into his kingdom under plain daylight. His mind whirled. He could not reconcile it.

Summary
“Men of Dor-Lómin!” he called out. “Huor! Where are you, brother? Be at ease. We held the pass long enough!”
There was no answer, so he kept walking. A little disappointment stirred inside his heart (that was only really the thought of a heart), but before it could swell to greater grief, the enchantment of the halls hushed it down again.
Húrin, a voice called back. It was not his brother’s voice. I would speak with you.
