A door swings open further down the hall, revealing a cluttered bathroom counter and a mirror plastered with stickers.
"I brush teeth!" Chirps a small voice with just a hint of a lisp, turning 'teeth' to 'teef'. There's a patter of socked feet on the tile floor, and then there he is.
The sight punches the air from Castiel's lungs, the empty space filing with the purest joy he's felt in a long time, because Jack is so… little. So wonderfully, perfectly little. Young like the baby he never got to be, the life Castiel had imagined for him and grieved a hundred times over as he watched him forced to grow up too fast.

Summary
Claire and Jack are orphaned after their parents’ deaths. Traumatized and alone, they’re placed with a foster family—a foster father, to be more exact.
Castiel has dreamed of having children, and when the opportunity comes for him to foster a brother and sister, he takes it. Now, however, he’s in over his head.
Cue their social worker, Dean. The man relates to the children after his own parents died, and he and his brother went into the foster system. He knows both sides of the coin when it comes to fostering and adopting, and is determined to help them all.
Over time, feelings develop between the two men. Can they come together despite the turmoil in Castiel's and the children’s lives, or are they better off as friends?

Summary
This is a re-work of Season 12 moving forward. I always thought it was a mistake to bring Mary back. Dean never needed to look back in that sense. She never treated him like a child or helped heal the broken inner one. So I always thought, he should have been able to be happy and be a Dad.
I tried really hard to keep the cannon of everything that happened before the start of this work. But with that said, some stuff might just be wrong. I tried, I'm only human. I did my best but I'm sure I've missed a few things. I have read so many amazing works on here that I think some things from those have stuck in my brain and are now cannon =) Whoops.

Summary
Special Agent Castiel Novak has worked for the FBI for a number of years. His very first undercover mission, which he chooses to accept, is to infiltrate Kansas City’s largest organized crime family. The mission is fairly straightforward and Cas is happy to sacrifice his normal life to clean up the streets of Kansas City.
Then he meets Dean, a young man who has been kidnapped and forced to work for the organization by way of prostitution.
Despite the point of the mission being to take down the organization, Cas finds that he only cares about saving Dean Winchester.
