Summary
A series to contain Sam's various original works set in the "Shivadhverse". The stories center around the royal family of Askazer-Shivadlakia, "The little country by the sea", one of the few democratic monarchies in the world with Europe's only Jewish royal family and a particularly queer-friendly culture. The series follows the lives of the newly crowned King Gregory III, his partner the American celebrity chef Eddie Rambler, their found families and their blood families, and various occupants of Fons-Askaz, the capital city, from podcasters and musicians to chefs, artists, and politicians.

Summary
The small coastal nation of Askazer-Shivadlakia is about to celebrate the coronation of a new king. Between coronation preparations and his father insisting it's past time to find a husband, Crown Prince Gregory has his hands full. He thought it would be safe to outsource hiring a caterer for the banquet to his trusted assistant, Alanna, but a miscommunication means that rather than hiring an elegant professional chef for the occasion she's hired Eddie Rambler, the loud American host of a TV show about greasy spoons.
As it turns out, Eddie's also a great cook, and he's thrilled to learn everything there is to know about the country as he prepares menus and befriends the staff. He even charms Gregory via late-night fish fries, afternoon picnics, and his terrifying specialty, the Trash Tower. It doesn't hurt that he's handsome...and openly attracted to the crown prince.
It can't be more than a fling, they both agree. But Eddie's falling for the country as much as for its incoming king, and Gregory is beginning to wish the perfect King Consort in his head looked a little more like tacky beach-bum influencer Eddie Rambler, floral shirt and all.

Summary
Once, when he was young, the poet descended the stairs of the tower and tried to open the door that he found there. The magic within it had howled his own fear right back at him, and he had gone back up the stairs and never ventured down them again.
Now that remembered fear is like a sigh, the merest wisp next to the freedom roaring in his ears. He does not know what it means, that the Empire has fallen, only that it has. The sprites in the tower, too, have been freed, and it is empty like a cavern is empty, a yawning, echoing, horrible place. The poet suspects it has always been that way, and the stillness is only allowing him to see it with fresh eyes.
He says aloud, “I am leaving.”
