Summary
Andrew regrets letting Neil talk him into helping the Gods once again.
Had he stuck with his original plan, they would still be back at Palmetto ignoring all the troubles that made their demigod lives. But then, the idiot got kidnapped by the Queen of the Gods - ugh, Hera, Andrew’s blood boiled just by the thought of her - and when he did find him, the idiot wanted to help the rest of his friends with the new quest.
As if the two of them hadn’t already been through enough.

Summary
Neil was offended that they thought he wouldn’t notice.
He hadn’t said anything but he knew the moment the car door opened that the person inside with him wasn't Andrew. He didn’t comment on it at first but mostly because he saw Allison’s car parked in the parking lot right before they drove inside. He just assumed that Aaron came to get something he had forgotten in the car last night from the car but when he started the engine and Neil finally noticed the black armbands he wore, he knew what the rest of his team was trying to do.
Which was why he decided to humour them.

Summary
Annabeth had seen him so many times.
She had talked to him, flirted with him, made jokes with him but she never met him outside of his little coffee shop near her workplace. And seeing him now, drenched in her drink, looking at her with that troublesome smile of his and her name on his wrist, she didn't know what to do.
So she bolted.

Summary
“A week,” Eddie sighed. “We can do this, right?”
Eddie’s gaze was pleading, needing assurance and comfort. His eyebrows were pinched in the middle of his forehead and Buck wanted to reach out and smooth it out with his thumb. Instead, he said, “’Course we can. We’ve faced tsunamis, beenados, earthquakes, broken dams… hey, where do we think the Diaz Parents Staying For A Week ranks?”
“Most likely to end in death,” Eddie muttered.
Buck clicked his tongue as he pulled the bowls from the cabinet for the salad, “That’s the lightning strike, actually.”

The Diaz parents showing up unexpectedly to the shared Buckley-Diaz household leads to some unexpected confrontations, late night conversations, and over due confessions.

Summary
"You killed Chimney," Bobby said, frowning at the screen.
"Yeah," Hen acknowledged, her face twisting into a similar frown at the monitor.
The words COLLISION WITH TERRAIN blinked accusingly at the room.
"I pulled a nasty trick on her," Buck explained. "It was a sim of a malfunctioning altitude readout and made Engine Three cut out too early. It's a deadly combination."

Summary
“How did you get home from the hospital?”
“Took an uber.”
“Does Maddie know?” Silence. “Does anyone?” More silence. More of Buck refusing to meet his gaze, staring at the door like he thought he could entice Eddie to leave by the power of suggestion. Well, good fucking luck, Eddie thought. Wild horses, and all that. “Why didn’t you call anyone?” he demanded. “Why didn’t you call me?”
“I did!” Buck snarled. The momentum of his indignation carried him into a sitting position, and Eddie could see him flinch with the pain of it. His unnaturally stoic front was gone, and something raw and wrenching took its place; it occurred to Eddie that he’d never heard Buck raise his voice before. “I did call you, Eddie! As I was bleeding out on my kitchen floor. You. Didn’t. Answer.”

The squatter in Buck's attic has a knife. Buck has a bit of a breakdown. Eddie has a plan to make everything right.

Summary
“His shirt’s on inside out,” Josh commented to Linda. Eddie opened the door to the breakroom and tried to let it close behind him, but that did not deter either of his colleagues. “Is this a walk of shame?”
“Well, I am walking,” Eddie confirmed, rounding the counter and beelining to the empty coffee pot. “And full of shame.”
“What happened?”
“I stood him up,” he answered, shortly.
After what was probably a very involved silent conversation between Linda and Josh, Josh said, “Eddie, if you aren’t ready, I’m sure he’d understand.”
“I am ready,” he said, detaching the water reservoir with more force than necessary. “I didn’t do it on purpose.”

Summary
“Are you homophobic?”
“What?”
“Will you be my boyfriend?”
“Yes,” Eddie answered, automatically, even though his mind had volunteered several other pressing questions, like what are you talking about and what is happening and did I recently sustain brain damage.
“Thanks,” said Buckley, and then he pushed Eddie back against the side of the firetruck and kissed him.
