Summary
Not to be one of those "I'm not like other girls" girls, but Kristy doesn't think she's like anyone else. There's something different about her, she knows that much. But she's always figured she's just weird, and that's not something you can really change, so she just goes along with it.
However, when she starts high school, a cool new teacher she likes starts to notice different about her, and she realizes there's a reason and a name that explains everything about her.

If the explosion didn’t take her silence and leave her with a fire’s echo in her ears that never seems to fade. If she didn’t still hear Helena’s voice in her head, strained with tears, I hope you burn it all to the ground.
That’s ironic, Tayane thinks, and then laughs herself to sleep.

For as long as Tails can remember, Sonic's always made up a different story about how they first met. He's said he found Tails following him through the jungle, that he fell on him from out of a tree, that he caught him fixing his plane... It has become a constant just how inconsistent he can be with all these different versions of the same story. But Sonic's just having a bit of fun and exercising his right as his big brother to mess with him a little. Over the years it became their own silly tradition in a way.
Until Tails realizes the real reason why Sonic doesn't tell it right.
Time isn't a straight line, and the stitches holding their story together are a little uneven, but like Sonic says, the how isn't always what matters. That it happened at all is what does.

Summary
Zuko is losing his hearing and finally finds the courage to reach out to his school for a note-taker. Out of work, Sokka turns to the school for any openings. As Sokka learns more about life with a disability, and Zuko discovers the simple charms of everyday moments, neither of them could have expected to find something more in this simple arrangement.
