Bruce had a problem, a small, totally not weird or all consuming problem. It was so normal, and not creepy. It's not like he wanted to eat his best friend alive and ride him into the sunset. That would be weird. And he's not weird, he's so. So. So normal.
Or: Bruce is too busy being cock hungry and trying not to defile his best friend to notice said best friend is going to devour him.

Summary
Sometimes it’s easy for the others to forget just how inherently human Bruce is compared to the rest of the League. He’s an exceedingly rich and famous human, sure, but not a super one. Not one with super speed or invulnerability, no otherworldly strength or powerful magic. No flight, no heat vision, no super-sonic screams or mystical objects with odd side effects in his possession.
He’s just… a guy in a mask.
But a brilliant mind with a bank account to back it? Now that… that, he had in spades.
Unfortunately for him, though, both of those things often got his civilian counterpart into more trouble than he was worth. And considering his most recent bank statement, that was saying a lot.

Clark knows from the many articles about Bruce that he’s known to get hurt on skiing trips and once even broke his leg from jumping out of an airplane. To be fair it was the landing that broke his leg, not the jumping, but still. There’s no reasonable explanation for half of the fractures in his body, even if he does fall down ski slopes every other month.
