Summary
After the Shire faced a second Fell Winter, Bilbo found himself traveling along a Dwarven caravan towards the great kingdom of Erebor. Following tales of plentiful work and plentiful pay Bilbo takes on a new role within the Kingdom Under the Mountain to support his kin back home.
If the King Under the Mountain was incredibly handsome to look at, well that was just a bonus. If his bed was incredibly comfortable? Even better.

But Thorin forgets that Bilbo Baggins doesn’t take kindly to what is expected of him.
In which Thorin continues to miscalculate, yet it somehow works in his favor.

Summary
After reclaiming Erebor, the dwarves and Bilbo find themselves in the shadow of gold that is as breathtaking as it is dangerous. Thorin, consumed by the mountain's treasure, falls into a restless obsession-eating little, sleeping less, and becoming a stranger even to those closest to him. Bilbo, torn between loyalty and worry, tries to reach the king he once knew, yet finds Thorin increasingly distant, lost in the pull of the hoard.
