Summary
He sat on the edge of the cliff, watching the sun rise in the distance. It painted the sky in hues of pink and orange and yellow, the horizon glowing with the light of the sun just barely cresting over the edge.
It was these moments that he enjoyed the most. The comfortable quiet at dawn, waiting for the world to wake up. The cicadas falling quiet, the birds beginning to chirp quietly to each other.
It made it seem as though the world wasn’t falling apart around him.
Things were still ripping at the seams, of course. The monarchy was still horrendously corrupt. Magic users were still being attacked for something they had no control over. A revolution was still brewing, plotting the downfall of the royalty.

Summary
The Jedi have been slaughtered, Anakin has turned dark side, and Obi-Wan is being hunted by his former apprentice. When Yoda tells him he needs to fake his death, Obi-Wan agrees. It isn't as though this is new to him. Obi-Wan, Cody, and Rex are put into a deep Force sleep, and Yoda promises to wake them when the galaxy needs them again.
But it isn't Yoda who wakes them. It's a small voice, calling out to a Jedi for help. Obi-Wan wakes up to a quiet head, both Yoda and Anakin are dead. And then he learns thirty years have passed while he's been asleep. With the Jedi Order gone, with Mandalore glassed, with a Empire that has risen and fallen, Obi-Wan, Cody, and Rex must decide what their place is in this new galaxy.
But first, there is a child who needs help. The only clue Obi-Wan has is a Mandalorian in shiny beskar'gam. If they can find one, they can find the other.

“Are you trying to get killed, Potter?” Malfoy drawls, stalking forward. Quick as a serpent himself, he reaches out and grabs the snake just below the head. It thrashes in his grip, but is no longer able to bite anyone. “This is a poisonous snake, and I doubt anyone brought a bezoar with them.”
Harry glares. He opens his mouth, and feels the beginning the snake’s language pass his lips, and this isn’t what he wants, what’s the point of insulting Malfoy if he can’t understand him –
Malfoy’s eyes widen. He slaps his hand over Harry’s mouth, “Potter, what the hell–”
