Katya feels stuck in her hometown, overwhelmed by the thoughts of what she could have been had she managed to get out. If only she had listened to Trixie and pursued her dreams to the feverous, determined extent Trixie seemed to pursue everything with. Maybe her life would be a lot different, maybe she would've gotten everything she wanted.
At least maybe she would have gotten the girl she wanted.
Trixie Mattel has achieved nearly everything she's ever dreamed of. She moved out to LA, her music career is wildly successful and she's beloved by the public and critics alike in seemingly everything she tries. Still, Trixie finds herself desiring to return to the hometown she worked so hard to escape. Somehow she knows Hackensack is the key to finding the thing keeping her from absolute emotional satisfaction. Well, she's pretty sure she already knows what it is.

Summary
At the end of the interview, Katya stands and rocks on the balls of her feet.
She reaches into the pocket of her trousers to pull out her phone. It has a cracked screen and a clear case that’s covered in stickers, and Trixie begs her to buy a new one with her prize money. Katya snorts and shoves the phone into Trixie’s hands, a patient smile settling on her lips. She looks softer, in the glow of the sun that’s slowly disappearing from the sky; Trixie doesn’t tell her this but she does whisper a gentle thank you.
“Give me your phone number,” Katya clears her throat. “I wanna know what you think of my playing on Tuesday.”

Summary
She took in the sight of Grace and Katya lying tangled up in Grace’s bed, Katya’s leg sticking out over the edge, Grace’s head resting on Katya’s chest, The Golden Compass still in Katya’s hand, both of them fast asleep. She kept standing there, looking for longer than she should have. She took a picture too, but it was blurry because of the dark and you wouldn’t be able to make out what the picture was of, unless you already knew. She kept it, anyway.
Or Trixie leaves home at 18 with her baby sister, at 21 Katya moves in next door and somewhere along the way they fall in love.

Being one half of a romantic partnership is not a role, Wednesday has ever expected to take on. Least of all, being a partner to an exceedingly affectionate and cuddles-loving girl. When Enid joins the others for the annual Seniors Camp Night, Wednesday is looking forward to a quiet night all to herself. A perfect night indeed.
