Summary
Race lives in a world that has been taken taken over by a society of evil angels. Every few years there are Ceremony where a group of angels "comes of age" by killing a human in the most vicious way possible. Race lost his mom to a Ceremony fifteen years ago and has been terrified that he will meet the same fate ever since. Albert says that he will protect him, but even Race has his doubts.
