Davey has always been too curious. His mother had said that when he scraped his knee after trying to climb to catch a star. His father had said that when he broke his shoulder trying to add an engine to his bike. His teachers had all said that when he interrupted their lessons to ask questions.
And maybe, just maybe, his curiosity was about to bite him in the ass. Because now he was tied up in a warehouse with the most powerful man in all of New York scowling down at him.

Davey barely had time to look up before Jack Kelly came barreling through the Great Hall like he owned the place. Toast clenched between his teeth, bag bouncing against his hip, robes half-buttoned and wrinkled. His hair stuck up in at least three different directions, which meant he had absolutely just woken up.
Davey sighed, shoving the last of his books into his bag. “What do you mean, move it? I’ve been ready and waiting for you since seven-thirty. We are going to be late.”
Jack slid to a stop beside him, grinning like this was the best part of his morning. “Then you shoulda known I was comin’ in hot.”

New Year's Eve.
The parties are wild, the relationships are wild, and the Newsies had their own little tradition. Every year, the older boys competed to see who could get kissed before anyone else in the first minute of the new year. The winning pair got the best selling spot guaranteed for the month of January.
Racetrack Higgins had won four years in a row. After having successfully dethroned Jack, who both started the tradition and cheated every year, Race had spent hours plotting a new strategy to keep winning. Eventually, he came to the conclusion that he needed to have a guaranteed kiss. The split second of trying to figure out who to kiss was holding him back, and that was where Spot Conlon came in.

It was a dark and stormy night and a motorcycle roared by outside the lodging house, and they all rushed to the windows to see who it was. Who would be out at midnight in the pouring rain, and on a motorcycle? To everyone's surprise it was Spot Conlon. He never came to Manhattan not really. Him and Jack got into fights a lot even though they'd call themselves friends. They more often than not asked for favors and didn't talk again until the other one needed a favor repaid back.
They were all surprised when Spot marched his way inside like he owned the place, a couple of the other Alphas in the room grumbling and growling moving to protect their Omegas or Betas. "Where is he?" Jack stepped forwards before anyone could say anything, "he's locked himself in his room, please i dont know what else to do!"
They all ran upstairs only to find the door locked, and two minutes later when spot had picked the lock stared in horror as Spot fell to his knees clutching a bloody Race and screaming for them to call an ambulance
