“You are late,” Kuukou says as soon as he sees Hitoya, arms crossed.
“Caught up in a case,” Hitoya says, defiant. “I’m sorry, alright? I’m here now.”
“I’ll let it slide this time,” Kuukou says magnanimously. He’s holding up his chin, truly stern; part of Hitoya thinks he’s just doing it to humiliate him, but–Hitoya knows Kuukou means it.

Rei hums, unconcerned at Sasara’s urgent tone. “Is it life-threatening? I’m a busy man, Sasara—”
Sasara usually enjoys bantering with Rei, but— “Rosho just kissed me!”
“Congratulations,” Rei says, dry as the desert. “I mean, I don’t know how it took you this long to kiss your boyfriend, but hey, whatever floats your boat—”
“W-what?” Sasara blurts. “My—my what?”--or: rosho thinks they're dating, and sasara just finds out.

"I don’t really know much about his time in Tokyo,” Rosho admits, hoping that’s enough of an explanation.
“He hasn’t said much, huh?” Samatoki says, the picture of casualness.
Rosho shakes his head. “No.”
Samatoki picks up his drink, meditative. “I don’t know much about his time in Osaka, either,” he says, so quietly that Rosho almost doesn’t hear it.--or, on the evening of halloween, jyuto invites rosho out to drink, and rosho and samatoki talk.

It’s all the warning Jyuto gets before most of his paperwork is shoved off his desk by Samatoki sliding his ass across it. He’s got that glint in his eyes that tells Jyuto he knows exactly what he’s doing, and is daring Jyuto to do something about it, like yell at his division leader in the middle of his workplace.
--or, 5 times samatoki greets jyuto rudely, and one time... well, it's still rude, but in a different way.

Summary
From the moment that Q had met Bond, he knew that Bond was going to make assumptions about him. From the spots on his face to the ties that he wore to the way his hair flopped down over his eyes, Bond was going to make assumptions about who he was as a person. He was going to assume that he was young (he was, but that's besides the point), that he was naive, and that he was likely inexperienced sexually and romantically due to his job, his genius level IQ, and his age.
Q loved to exceed expectations.
