How many of these Pureblood children had fathers, like her own, who took perverse pleasure in Muggles’ pain? How many Pureblood students felt the same way? How many of these Muggleborns had parents whose memories were modified, like Diana's mother? How many Muggleborns were cheerful only because the Ministry modified their memories?
I hate magic, she thought bitterly as the Sorting Hat was placed gently on her head.
