At least, that was what he thought. A moment of weakness betrayed him. He looked down, unable to meet Wave’s eyes. “I didn’t mean for you to hear that,” he mumbled, shame burning hot in his stomach and painting his ears red. “Let’s just forget this happened.”
Wave gripped his chin, forcing Lava to look up at him. His eyes held that dominant shine they got when he was about to command Lava to do something. But there was a touch of softness around the edges, too. There always was. His demands were never born from malice, only from love and a deep understanding of what Lava needed to feel cared for.
“I asked you a question.”

Pepper does everything in his spiteful power to get on Lieutenant Pongpuen's nerves, from that cheesy nickname, to always finding new ways to disappear from Pong's sights, to flirting openly with anyone and everyone right in front of him, gazing at Pong with those 'what are you gonna do about it' eyes.
Pepper pisses Pong off to the max. It's just a fact. And quite frankly, Pong has had enough of this brat and his 'i can do what i want' behaviour. Pong almost thinks that Pepper does it on purpose, hoping to get a rise out of him.
But Pong never bends so easily.
