“Hm.” Caitlyn looks right into her eyes, with such intensity that it nearly makes Vi shiver. Her eyes are so bright, so blue, and they brazenly rake down Vi’s figure before meeting her eyes again.

The voice is familar and still grating, the heat of their body so close to Vi’s that it’s both nauseating and unsettlingly alluring.
“Odd, isn’t it? How I know what I’m doing,” Vi snarks back, her spine tightening as her steel-toe boot begins to tap on the linoleum beneath them.
“I wouldn’t go that far,” scoffs the woman beside her, arms brushing against Vi’s as they come up to cross over her chest.
Bright, sapphire-colored eyes meet hers from the corner of Dr. Kiramman’s gaze, the tiniest, most miniscule twitch of her lips preluding her next words. “I’d just say you’ve got decent enough luck to get easy cases.”
