The Talis Forge has long churned out the weapons that aid Piltover in their war against Zaun. It is run by a single man: The Mad Man of Progress.
Jayce Talis is taken down into the family forge a week after the bombings. He is a child, not yet old enough to be left home alone for extended periods of time, and yet he is handed hammer tongs and placed in front of sweltering heat. It is a long long time before he is able to leave.
