There were a lot of things Buck had gotten better at over the years. Emotional regulation. Listening. Thinking before jumping headfirst into danger.
Saying no was not one of them.
So now he was backstage at a club he had not stepped into in years, staring at himself in a mirror while adjusting the waistband of tear-away black pants he absolutely did not need to be wearing again.

Evan Buckley has never known the luxury of feeling stable, at least not for an extended period of time, so it comes as no surprise to him that Maddie, Chim and Jee leaving town, only a few months after Eddie got shot in broad daylight...right in front of him...while working...on a side street in L.A. has brought an unshakeable weight upon his shoulders. Although it's familiar, the unwelcome presence leads him to question his relationship with Taylor, especially the way their rekindled romantic relationship ironically (in a dark sort of way) shot back to life after the life was nearly shot out of Eddie.
