Summary

He thinks he has a shot when the team get a new coach, retired MLB legend and Steve's high school crush, Bucky Barnes. Summary

Summary
As Steve returns the last Infinity Stone, he realizes there is nothing for him to return to in 2024. This is the first of three subdivisions, where we’ll see Team USA, Team GB, as well as Germany and Canada,” says the man next to Bucky. His voice is perfectly cadenced, his words impossibly well enunciated, and it makes Bucky slightly nervous.
He knows he shouldn’t be anxious. People have been loving his videos online, the comments mostly positive any time he reviews a routine. This shouldn’t be any different.
“I am joined by sports journalist Rebecca Barnes and her brother, the one and only James Barnes, better known as Bucky Barnes. Our very own G.O.A.T, if you will.”
Bucky laughs, the smallest hint of awkwardness seeping through. He never really liked being called that, not because he didn’t think he was great, just because he didn’t think he was ever that great.~

Summary
There were very few things Bucky disliked in life, although chaperoning his sister at every ball of the season was one of them. It was boring, long, and overall unpleasant. Or it used to be, until the day Bucky laid eyes on the most beautiful man he had ever seen at such an event.
The man wasn’t familiar, Bucky would have remembered seeing him before. And after the first night, Bucky saw him everywhere. While he slept, while he daydreamed, while he walked around town. There was no escaping this stranger.
And perhaps Bucky did not want to. What was the worst that could happen if Bucky were to let himself give in to his thoughts, to his urges?

Bucky stares at the papers in front of him, not daring to look up.
In front of him read: No Fault Divorce Form. It was all filled out in his name, as plaintiff. Defendant; Steven Grant Rogers.
“So that’s it?” He has to confirm.
“Pretty much,” Natasha replies. “He can contest it. He can refuse it. You can also never show him. Doesn’t have to matter.”
Bucky nods. Doesn’t have to matter. Doesn’t have to matter that he went to his best friend and colleague to have divorce papers drawn out, all in proper legal jargon, because he’s been thinking about divorce for months and months and told no one.
Not even his husband.

Bucky and Steve have been together all their lives. Bucky thought they would have made it, that they were the other half of the statistics. He thought they would have found their way to each other in the end. Life is funny like that sometimes.

Summary
Becca and Bucky have spent the last few years living in England as they finish up degrees in Anthropology/Archaeology and Historical Engineering respectively. Neither were able to find paying jobs in their chosen fields, and the end of their lease is looming close. London is expensive, and they begin to worry about where they could possibly live.
Then, an unknown Great Uncle dies suddenly, and names Bucky (by way of legal loophole) heir to the castle he lived in. In Germany.
And sure, it’s run down, they have barely any furniture, and it’s tucked away remotely in the mountains between Germany and the Czech Republic, but hey? Free house?
Bucky supposes the brush with death that made him able to see the ghosts of Captain America, Agent Carter and the Howling Commandos is just the price he has to pay for it.
