He rolled over and eyed the letter. ‘They say curiosity killed that cat’ he thought, pushing himself off the bed to sit at the desk. He pulled out his glasses and placed them delicately on the slightly crooked bridge of his nose and flipped the envelope over to read the writing.

Definitely addressed to him. The green ink curved freely over the front in looping handwriting. He caressed the wax seal on the back, ‘this is definitely not about getting expelled from school.’ he thought as he flipped it over. “Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.” he whispered in awe. His mother would tell him stories of her time there, she always insisted on sending him there even though his father wanted him to go to durmstrang like himself. “Are you proud of me, mother?” he said as he pried the wax off the parchment. He pulled out the parchments from inside, unfolding them.
Dear Mr. St.Clair, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.
“Suck it Pierre. I’m going to Hogwarts.”
