Jamie snorts and pulls a face. “No. It’s because I’m allergic to half the galaxy and I figured having a fuckbuddy doctor wasn’t the stupidest choice I could make.”
The quiver in Jamie’s ‘no’ is all the answer Lea needs. She watches her smooth her uneven hair in practiced, tense movements. For the hundredth time tonight, she wonders how this skittish puppy is a Kirk.
“Now don’t you worry, sugar,” Lea says, sliding her camisole down to reveal the makeshift binding she’s rigged up with a sports bra and paper towels. She winces as she pulls it off, ignoring the way her head grows dizzy with more than one kind of relief. “Plenty here for you.”

Summary
Viktor isn’t dense. Despite his quiet disposition, he’s not particularly socially inept. He may be one leg down and one foot in the grave, but he’s still not blind either. He knows when eyes trail him and he knows when they’re filled with pity or disgust. But he knows when they’re filled with heat and want, too. He sees such looks directed between lovers and those who covet that which they can’t have, but every once in a while he notices a look or two like that shot in his direction. It’s flattering every time it happens but he always chooses to ignore them – it’s not like any of them can offer him what he really wants.
What starts off as Viktor reluctantly attending one of the Council's lavish parties, ends rather interestingly when Jayce spends the night over in Viktor's apartment.
