   There was something sinisterly poetic about the powers bestowed upon them by the noxious temp-V they’d been shooting up. It was almost as if the stuff acted as an amplification system for their neuroses, cranking them up to one-hundred and adding a physical manifestation on top to boot.

   Hughie and Butcher have gotten into a routine of dealing with each other, but both of them know their connection is volatile. If they don't figure themselves out soon, just like those temporary powers foretold, they might completely lose control. One thing is certain, something or someone has to give. But who will it be?
