They both could smell it. Babe's scent had changed. His scent was consistently a deep smoky oud, with hints of saffron. But now the smell emanating from him was closer to a sweet amber vanilla. It wasn't completely unusual for an alpha's scent to shift, but for it to completely change, that was almost unheard of. Babe's mind raced as he thought about how physically out of sorts he had felt in the past few weeks. The fatigue, the sensitivity, the nausea, and now this.
