Summary
The "Apocalypse Incident" has taken its toll on Erik Lehnsherr as the aftermath of the battle has left him hollow and lost on what to do with his life. He's been from a wanted terrorist to playing the role of a henchmen to a god, but nothing felt as important to him as being a father, but even that ended with tragedy. Bless Charles' heart of gold for helping him piece himself together, but he still feels so lost........
Peter Maximoff has always lived for the thrill (and speed) of life, but that doesn't mean he can always handle it. It took him a week for his brain to register that "Magneto" was his father and a month to fully accept it. The guy didn't seem so bad. Without Erik, Peter would have never found out how to break into highly secured prisons or how great it is to be an X-Men! Too bad Erik doesn't know how much of an impact he created in Peter's life... Funny part is that even with his ludicrous speed, Peter always seems too late to tell him so. (And always picks the worst times to try.)Especially when his life decides to turn upside-down in the process.

Summary
During a hot summer at the Xavier Institute, Peter wakes up and spends the day as he normally does: prepping the school for the return of the students, spending quality time with his teammates, delaying telling Erik that they’re related, and going on a mission to rescue mutants from an experimental government facility. Unlike any other day however, he makes an error in judgment that results in him dying a horrible death.
The next morning, he wakes up to find that none of that has happened, and he’s reliving the very same day all over again.

“I see that Peter’s made himself known,” Charles says, ever-so-chipper but there’s something a little strained behind the cheer.
It’s then that Erik recognizes the male as the energetic teenager who had broken him out of the Pentagon all those years ago. Well, no longer a teenager now. He looks drastically different than the last time that Erik had saw him, and it can’t simply be chalked up to puberty. What had happened to the lively teenager who had chatted his ear off in elevator, and later on the car ride away from the facility? Today, he had presented himself as quiet and subdued—almost skittish. Physically, he looked malnourished, dressed in ill-fitting clothes that hid the bones no doubt visible underneath.
“...Is that so?” Erik murmurs, eyes still fixed on where the young man had been moments ago.
