Tina doesn’t stir when Queenie switches on her bedside lamp and pulls the blanket down her sleeping body. Instead she lays still, her short hair fanned out on her pillow, her lips just barely parted, and her breasts rising with each slow, even breath. She looks so soft nestled amongst her pillows, so warm and pliable that it makes Queenie shiver.
Queenie usually saves the sleeping draught for the weekends since it tends to make Tina a bit stupid the next day, but she’ll just have to save the difficult bits of her job for some other time.
