Derek stared at him, eyebrows knit together, lips pinched, but his eyes still warm. Stiles’ next breath caught in his throat. Let me come with you.When Derek leaves Beacon, Stiles is left feeling stranded and alone. Isaac becomes a companion in the gaping hole that Derek's departure and Scott's refusal to see anything past his nose leaves.
When everything goes wrong, Derek comes back.

Stiles squinted as he looked into the sky, snowflakes falling around him. It was the chillest night of the year, but not quite yet Christmas in Beacon Hills. He stuck his tongue out and tried to catch snowflakes, even though he logically knew that they were likely full of pollution. He could never really shut down that part of his brain, so it nagged him in the back of his mind as he failed to catch snowflakes anyway.
He heard a chuckle behind him and it sent warmth radiating through his body, from head to toe.

“Morning.” Stiles says, still sleepy. He’s fucked out tired and loose and sluggish, up most of the night until he’d passed out onto the pillow they shared.
Derek rumbles a response, the timbre of his voice low and strong. “Morning.” He bends and kisses Stiles’ forehead, who takes the kiss with his eyes slipping half closed and a hum in his throat. Derek regards him. Focused on Stiles like he sometimes gets, eyes mottled and gold but not demanding.

Summary
He held Stiles’ face like it was the most precious thing and licked Stiles’ neck like he owned it. A kiss was the first thing to greet Stiles in the mornings they spent together, and at nights, it was the last thing he felt on his face. Each time was more desperate than the last.
Derek told him he was made to be kissed. It was a reward, a pleasure, a relief.
And then, after all of this, he would disappear. For two days, three, or for a week. Stiles would choke from the thought that this time he definitely ruined it (how? god, how?), and then, in a click of a light, Derek would come back as if he were always there. Calling from a hidden number, cupping his chin, tugging Stiles closer with his hand splayed on his back, so big and insistent. Kissing, loving, refusing to let go.
But only in a closed room, in the darkest corner of a restaurant, in a black sports car with its windows thick and tinted.
