A rat bastard, that’s what, an incorrigible pest who doesn’t think of tomorrow, or thinks tomorrow he’ll be gone, who cannot stop gnawing at the foundations a sensible man might seek to build upon, who cannot even keep it to skullduggery and subterfuge without property damage—for God’s sake, there was a perfectly good loose floorboard right there.
