Heimerdinger suddenly stops strumming. The final note ends on an off-key chord Ekko can't help but wince at. Furry brows knitting together, the professor tilts his head, apparently confused by the question. "For my old glasses?"
"For Jayce. Or Viktor," Ekko clarifies, though he's pretty sure Heimerdinger knew what he was getting at. "Even if our Jayce did end up somewhere else, one should still exist here. In this timeline, what happened after the explosion?"
Heimerdinger frowns, mustache wriggling in displeasure.
"Ah, yes, the incident. Well, you see—"
Or, Heimerdinger doesn't want to disrupt the peace Jayce and Viktor have built for themselves in the alternate timeline, and Ekko learns Powder has something to do with that.
