Summary
Sam’s voice faded into the background, becoming nothing short of a distant murmur. The noises of the city, too, were all of a sudden very far away, and the world around him narrowed into a single point, leading down that alleyway.
To the toy.
He didn’t know exactly what it was- could hardly make it what it looked like, even. But it had a draw to it all the same, luring him forward like an invisible fishing rod. Somehow, Max got the feeling that this was going to change everything. Forever.---
Max gets a vision of his fate, and he is determined to change it.
