“I know you did,” Henry said, his voice softer now. “I know you’re trying, Alex. But I can’t... I can’t do this anymore. It’s tearing me apart, and it’s tearing you apart too.”
“You’re asking me to stop trying?” Alex asked incredulously, his hands trembling as they clenched into fists on the table. “Do you think this is what our son would want? For us to fall apart?”
Henry’s heart clenched at the mention of their son, but he forced himself to stay calm. “He’s not here, Alex. What he would want doesn’t matter anymore. What matters is what we want, what we need.”
Alex’s jaw tightened, his voice trembling with emotion. “And what do you want, Henry? What do you need?”
Henry took a deep breath. “I want a divorce.”

Finding out he's pregnant definitely wasn't on his bingo card. He vows to tell Ilya that night, despite the fact the Russian has been ignoring his attempts at reaching out. But then, Ilya goes down on the ice after a hit from Comeau and doesn’t wake up.
It is in that moment that Shane realizes two things: he’s in love with Ilya and Ilya is also in love with him. Why else would he have Shane on his list of people to contact in an emergency. Getting that call from Cliff Marleau was not how Shane anticipated his life going, but here he is and he has some big decisions to make, with or without Ilya.
