Shen Yuan doesn't know exactly what he should agree to now. It's already decided, isn't it? It's not like Shen Yuan can just say he doesn't agree, and his family will suddenly decide not to marry him off to the Emperor as part of a good business deal that will make the Emperor able to freely dispose of the Storm Fawns.
He will marry Emperor Luo Binghe.... Shen Yuan knows what happens to the flowers in the Emperor's harem. They are beautiful, worthy of his attention until their petals wither and the novelty wears off. He knows the same goes for husbands; Luo Binghe has collected a few, and now Shen Yuan is just one more, isn't he? Just a young man who was taken as a business marriage with mutual benefits.
The eleven other men Luo Binghe has taken as husbands in the past don't agree with that. In the end, Shen Yuan is now part of them; the small harem of men, and, being all of them expert masters in their field, what else can the Emperor's eleven withered flowers do but teach Shen Yuan how to become the ruthless bitch who can take the Empress's place (and the Emperor's heart)?Bookmarked by cookies1997

His face is pale. Lips curled up in a grotesque smile. Torn up the cheeks, oozing blood that drips onto the cement floor. One hand rips at his dark hair, greasy and limp over manic eyes. The other hangs at his side, limply clinging to a gun. “Ha ha ha-” Half frantic laughter, half distraught sobs that rattle through his chest.
Between them, the Joker’s body. Blood blossoming around his head. Brain matter spattered on the floor. Smiling. Eyes vacantly staring up at the ceiling.
“Hahahahaha-”
Bruce approaches slowly. Like he’s approaching a skittish animal. “Tim,” he says softly, and the boy blinks at him, still laughing, still sobbing. There are tears in his eyes. “Tim, put down the gun.”

Merlin stares at Arthur, confused. His tone was ominous, and it certainly sounded like a threat, but Merlin can’t quite work out what part is supposed to have him shaking in his boots. He’s halfway back to Gauis’ chambers when it dawns on him: Arthur actually thinks this stupid, degrading job is something he would be willing to fight for - as though Merlin’s life wouldn’t be complete without the honor of scrubbing the sheets Arthur manages to soil on a disturbingly regular basis.
In which it takes Merlin a bit longer to warm up to Arthur than it does in canon, but he gets there in the end.
