Aziraphale Eastgate has lived under the criteria of his father for his 26 years of life. Matthew Tron Eastgate decided his career, university, and even where to start working. The only lights in his life are his sister and his true passion, the violin, which even his father controls as he prefers. So much so that he offers it, with no room for objections, to his best friend, James Archer, owner of the largest record label in the country, to join as a violin replacement in his star band 'Edens.'
Aziraphale accepts the attractive idea of escaping his father's yoke for some months while gathering enough money to leave his home and study a new career.
What could go wrong? Even though the band's fierce and impulsive lead vocalist speaks to him with contempt, but the redhead can't take his eyes off him.

"Come here, they won't find us" (Crowley said, pointing to a wooden desk).
Crowley went under the desk and sat down (damn, his legs were very long).
The sound of a voice grew closer and closer, and Crowley, feeling he had no choice, pulled Aziraphale by the hand, making him straddle his lap. One thigh on each side.
Aziraphale's arms were around Crowley's neck, and their faces were very, very close. They were both breathing heavily.

Detective (well, Profiler actually, not that anyone seems to care) Aziraphale Fell should have dropped his one and only Criminal Informant the moment he realized he was already falling in love with the man. Alas, he's never had good ideas regarding his self-preservation: when Anthony Crowley calls, he always comes. He will always come.
If this wasn't already very bad, his feelings are apparently reciprocated and, in the meantime, his unit has to catch the worst serial killer Washington D.C. has probably ever seen.
Crowley has no intention of leaving Aziraphale to deal with this on his own; Aziraphale has no intention of letting Crowley do something stupid just for his sake. Ah, if only love could ever be something easy.“Sometimes I wish I’d met you in a park.”
Crowley’s hands move lower, down, down until he reaches Aziraphale’s palms and intertwines their fingers. There isn’t a single chance this gesture can fall under the umbrella of ‘plausible deniability’. Though nothing about this sort of impromptu confession could.
“A park, uh? Nice.” A squeeze. “I always imagine something like a library. Or a bookshop or, not sure, whatever place is full of books.”

Summary
Aziraphale goes to True Directions, a facility dedicated to curing same-sex attraction and gender confusion. His goal is simple: get through the process as quickly as possible so he can return to his normal life and be left alone with his favourite books once more.
However, things are not so easy. Aziraphale quickly strikes up a friendship with Anthony J. Crowley, another soldier at True Directions who seems to make every attempt to question, challenge, and fight against the process. Aziraphale wants to help his friend get through the process, by showing him the light of God. But what complicates things is that somewhere along the way, he realises that he may actually, really badly, incorrigibly, heart stoppingly, love Crowley.
