Summary
Liam blinked and shook his head. The alcohol. That had to be it. What the hell was wrong with him?
“The drink can’t be that good,” Isack said, smiling that awkward little smile he always wore during media duties.
Almost as quickly as Liam had snapped out of it, he was pulled right back in.
Or: I was and still am obsessed with the Miami team kit and decided to write this fic about it.

Summary
Liam Lawson had accepted from when he first came onto the grid back in 2023 he wasn’t a favourite from others, too aggressive on track and letting himself be carried by the heat of the moment rather than acting on logic. He had made peace with that fact so really he shouldn’t have been surprised that once Isack had switched teams, he found himself drifting away from the rest of the grid and he should have really been expecting how much it hurt.
But what Liam hadn’t been expecting was the subtle presence of Max Verstappen in his corner with the occasional check in and dragging him into conversations. Liam just didn’t understand why Max was suddenly taking him in like a stray dog found on the streets.
Or. 3 times Max realised that him and Liam were more alike than he thought and 1 time he actually did something about it.

Summary
Liam never had the Rookie experience.
It's a little fact he hardly thinks about truth be told, a small thing that only sometimes nags at the back of his mind, something so small, so irrelevant he feels a little embarrassed to even acknowledge at all most of the time, let alone allow himself to feel anything regarding it.
F1 is fast. F1 is unpredictable. F1 is harsh.
At least that was his experience: Liam wasn't taught how to navigate it, he was one of those kids who learned how to swim by being thrown on the deep end while the adults around watched with vague interest, not overly worried about the possibility of him sinking because they had other kids waiting by the shore.
He didn't know things could be different, but oh how clearly he saw that they could.
Just not for him.
Or: 5 times Liam didn't think he mattered as much to Max and the Rookies and the ensuing crash outs they had over it.
