Summary
Some nights were, naturally, worse than others.
Nights where Frank laid in bed for so long, staring at the ceiling, that it made his heart start to race with anxiety and his back ache and ache and ache no matter how he positioned himself. Nights where his thoughts spiraled out into worst-case-scenarios that seemed so vivid and inevitable that he would have to get up and go to the bathroom, just to turn the light on and look at himself in the mirror to remember what was actually real.
Those were the nights when he wanted the pills again the most: alone in his guest bedroom, trying to wring sleep out of his body like the last few drops of water out of a dirty dishcloth.
He tried not to call Mel on nights like that. He did not always succeed.

Summary
The idea that children without siblings have more difficulty sharing than children who grew up with siblings was largely considered to be a myth. When it came to childhood socialization, there were many factors that contributed to whether or not children were capable of sharing. Usually, they grew out of whatever selfish behaviors they exhibited as children.
But as far as Frank Langdon and Samira Mohan were concerned they had never left the sandbox.
There they were.

In which I fix all the things that pissed me off most about Season 2 via the power of solidarity. Because for reasons that are unknown to me, I seem to care about these characters more than the writers do.

Summary
Langdon catches her as she’s coming out of North 2, popping up like an oversize jack-in-the-box, his sudden appearance jolting Samira out of thoughts of what tests she needs to run for David Armitage, 53, chest pains.
“Hey. You doing anything after work?”
It takes a second for his words to connect and then she eyes him warily. “Why are you asking me this?” It’s definitely the first time he’s ever inquired about her life outside the E.D. and she can’t even begin to guess why he’s asking.
“I want to talk through our plan of attack,” he says. Off her blank look, he adds, “For our R4.” She still doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and it must show on her face, because he sighs and makes an impatient gesture. “You know, what we talked about last week in the break room.”
