Summary
"And if the performer should enjoy his choice of facade?" The Tyrant's boots thump against the floor, two steps closer. "And more vitally in this moment, what if the performer enjoys seeing its effects on you?" He repeats the well-worn move of leaning over Yves, palms on the desk, forming a squared circle for two. Despite Yves's eyes being screwed shut it has the same disastrous effects on his patience. "I wonder, challenger. Is it truly the idea of any facade that you despise, or is it that your own no longer suits your desires...?"
The Warrior of Light is desperate to relinquish the burden of power, and the Tyrant indulges his wishes.

Summary
The picturesque village of Buell, Maine is one of the last in the United States to continue the tradition of the “harvest” or “prosperity” lottery. Its residents insist the lottery makes them stronger, even as condemnation from outsiders grows.
