    It's not the job that goes wrong, oh no. It's the few moments after, as Jason speeds down Gotham streets on his motorcycle. It has nothing to do with Dick's absolutely bizarre bet with Steph about whether or not he can twerk while driving his bike. Clearly, Dick has no part in why Jason breaks his leg whatsoever. Jason did NOT see that and did NOT drive straight into a metal railing on the road because he was so damn distracted, no sir!

    Lies, lies, all lies.

    But Jason won't say any of this to Dick. Can't say no to Dick, either. Which is why Jason ends up at Dick's apartment instead of the manor to heal, living and breathing a perpetual nightmare-turned-wet-dream.

    Bruce smells his son long before he sees him.

    His stride stays calm, boots thumping evenly along the hallway of the Watchtower and cape swishing behind him. It’s important to always demonstrate composure when team members can see.

    Hal and Zatanna pass him, grinning through their own conversation. “Maybe a bit of stress relief will help get that stick out of your -“ Hal calls back towards him, cut off by the sound of a smack, and then laughter.

    Bruce doesn’t dignify them with an acknowledgement.

    The conference room door is wide open, the scent of fucked-out omega positively billowing out into the hall. Bruce’s mouth flattens in annoyance - deeply unprofessional behavior in the workplace. The smell is going to be impossible to get out of the carpet.

    He steps into the doorway, and sighs.

    “I expected this from him, but really, Kal?”
